Wildlife, Castle & Sea Bird's Trip
On our very popular Wildlife trip you will see many sights from Stonehaven's beautiful coastline to Dunnottar Castle, Cliff waterfalls, beautiful rock formations, caves and the very popular wildlife.
First stop: Dunnottar Castle bay getting you up close views of secret caves that can only be seen from the sea.
Firstly: We take you South along the coast where you will see many interesting nooks and crannies rock formations and caves along this spectacular coastline.
Secondly: We stop in at the Puffin Cave nests where we have counted 30+ puffins in this bay and you can sometimes be lucky to see them flying in and out of the caves.
Thirdly: The beautiful Seal Cove is our second last stop on the trip, its hidden from the land and a very unique part of the coast, we counted 40+ adult seals and 10+ pups here last around June.
Final part: Is the mile long RSPB Fowlsheugh Sea Bird Colony. The 70ft high cliffs of the Fowlsheugh reserve is packed with breeding seabirds in the spring and summer as many as 130,000 Sea Birds breed on the sandstone cliffs, its a spectacular sight from the sea.
